The podcast rep agency True Native Media has hired Brittany Bernado as its first Senior Director of Revenue and Sales Strategy. Bernardo, who most recently was Director of Podcast Sales at the iHeartPodcast Network, will be in charge of spearheading and overseeing sales at True Native Media, with a focus on developing strategies to reach sales targets and defining sales objectives.
"As we continue to grow our roster of talented podcasts our need to reach advertisers and brands with the opportunity to place ads in our podcasts has increased,” CEO Heather Osgood said. “We're excited to add Brittany to the team because she deeply understands the podcast industry and is committed to bringing valuable advertising partnerships to True Native Media,” she said in the announcement.
Bernado and Vice President Nick Gryniewicz will work to develop True Native Media’s sales strategies. The company is a podcast representation agency which specializes in connecting brands with podcasters to develop host-read ads for global audiences.
Bernado arrives from iHeart where she was Director of Podcast sales since June 2018. She became the company's go-to podcast sales expert for entertainment, health, and tech and telecom. Prior to that, Bernado worked in sales at How Stuff Works – which was acquired by iHeart in 2018 – and Morris Media Network.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join the leadership team at True Native Media,” Bernado said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to applying my expertise and passion for podcasting and advertising to maximize revenue and brand partnerships in collaboration with the talented TNM team.”
